New Airports Commission paper questions future growth of regional airports

The Airports Commission’s new evidence paper looks at the trends in UK regional airports and the wider airport network. It also considers that there is a limited role to play of Airport Passenger Duty and the new Regional Air Connectivity Fund. Our comment considers the implications of a new runway in the South East for regional airports in the context of a carbon cap.
