AEF’s 2019 Annual Report is out!

Our 2019 Annual Report published today looks back on a year when declarations of climate emergency, Greta Thunberg’s refusal to fly and a growing European flight shame movement, combined to make aviation’s climate impacts the subject du jour.

AEF appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme, BBC Panorama and Channel 4 News to name a few. Against a backdrop of growing public interest, our 2019 work focused on the need for Government to adopt an emissions reduction plan for the sector to meet 2050 net zero targets, pressing for a long-term climate goal for international aviation emissions, and continuing to highlight aircraft noise concerns as the UK rolls out its airspace modernisation programme.
