More publicity on aviation and climate change

27th June, 2005

Climate change in general and aviation’s contribution to it are getting more and more publicity. An article in the Observer by Lord Berkley, president of the AEF, and an address by the doyen of environmental journalists, George Monbiot, are just two of the recent contributions.

Climate change in general and aviation’s contribution to it are getting more and more publicity. On 17 July 2005 the Observer published a substantial article by Lord Berkley, president of the AEF. This was highly critical of ’emissions trading’ and the industry’s support for it. See the Observer Article and also background information [LINK] on emissions trading.

In May 2005 that doyen of environmental journalists, George Monbiot, addressed the Environmental Law Foundation (ELF). He gave a radical but thoughtful analysis of climate change and public attitudes to it. See George Monbiot’s address and also the ELF web site.
