Airports and planning, consultation crises and a new volunteer

20th April, 2009

Our work on third party risk continues; following the advice of the Department for Transport we’ve now made contact with the Department for Communities and Local Government to highlight the areas in which we think planning policy could be clarified.

Recent inquiries have included a question about noise insulation schemes and about what to do when your airport’s consultative committee (often the main channel of communication between the airport and the local community) has reached a stand-off.

We’ve also launched a revamp of our office library and are very happy to have a new volunteer to support this.
