Global reporting; UK airspace and aviation strategies

Our work in December has included a global reporting initiative and work on two new UK strategies – an airspace strategy and a new aviation policy fremework.

Tim Johnson attended the sixth and final meeting of the Global Reporting Initiative’s working group looking at sustainability indicators for the airports sector. The near-final draft report can be viewed at http://www.globalreporting.org/ReportingFramework/SectorSupplements/Airports/

Tim also addressed London assembly members at City Hall. The meeting was to appraise members of noise and flightpath issues arising from the  CAA’s new Airspace Strategy.

AEF has submitted comments to the DfT on scoping of the new aviation policy framework and we have continued to deal with a wide range of members’ and public enquiries as well as add to the AEF web site.
