24th March, 2025
We are pleased to present AEF’s Annual Report for 2024, where we reflect on the key highlights from our work over the past year.
We focus on the election and the Labour Government’s reworking of the ‘Jet Zero’ strategy, examining its implications for aviation policy, including airport expansion and the development of alternative aviation fuels.
Other important areas on our radar include biodiversity, noise, airspace management, general aviation, and the crucial role of consumer information. We also highlight progress in the areas of Air Passenger Duty and aviation tax, with a nod to upcoming challenges such as planning policy and emissions trading.
Lastly, we extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Cait Hewitt, who, after 16 years at AEF, has moved on to new challenges. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
