Understanding the draft Heathrow Expansion National Policy Statement

In June this year, the Government published its draft Heathrow Expansion National Policy Statement (HENPS) and opened a consultation, running until the 1st September 2026.

The HENPS documents span over a thousand pages and include highly technical material. AEF staff have analysed this material and drawn on their expertise to highlight the key areas that need further scrutiny, with the aim of equipping individuals and organisations who want to respond to the consultation.
