As details emerge of a plethora of airport expansion proposals submitted to the Airports Commission in time for their 19th July deadline, AEF has been arguing that any new runways would be likely to breach the UK’s climate commitments, and that with demand forecasts now weaker than ever and business travel falling, the economic case for expansion is poor.
